Mr. Nobuyoshi Nagahara – 1932 - 2015
The Sailor Pen Company of Japan announces the passing away of Master nib maker and innovator - Nobuyoshi Nagahara who died on March 11th 2015 in Hiroshima after a battle with Liver Cancer. Our sincere condolences have been passed to the family and friends.
Mr. Nagahara Senior leaves a 65 year proud legacy of ground-breaking Innovation and Craftsmanship in nib design and production etc.
Mr. Nagahara (The nib King) is known Internationally for his range of specialist Nagahara nibs and by fountain pen enthusiasts for his many Pen Clinics performed around the world.
His legacy lives on with his special nib products such as the King Cobra, King Eagle, Crosspoint, Cross Emperor, Cross Concorde, Naginata Togi and many more.
He will be sadly missed by all who worked with him and knew him. He was a gentleman and a real professional and has contributed significantly to the success of the Sailor Company worldwide.
His son Yukio (Nagahara Junior) has continued the work of his father and the heritage will continue for generations to come.
